Advice For Everyday

"My Utmost For His Highest"

This book is by Oswald Chambers and for those who haven't read it, you should! I make sure that everyday no matter how busy I am that I read my daily devotional out of there. And most of the time I'm amazed at how much it speaks to what's going on in my life at the time. Whatever I'm going through it seems that when I open up this book it says exactly what I'm needing that day. And I am mainly amazed because it goes by date everyday. I think it's incredible that when I'm having trouble with something on April 19th I can open it up to April 19th and it will say just what I need to hear!

Another thing about it that makes me think is that this book has millions of copies and all these people reading the same thing as me the same day as me. And I get to thinking "Are these other people going through the same thing as me? Are they also reading what they need on the day they need it?" It's kind of a comfort to think that if that's true I'm not the only person out there with this problem and that it would be common enough that it would be written in there for all the people who need help with it.

This book is something that shows me that having Gods wisdom and guidance is completely possible. How would a person know the exact date somebody would need to hear something with millions of people reading it and all the years people re-read the book. The only way I think it possible is if you were writing what God was telling you to write for that day. The amount of work and wisdom put into this book is astonishing and it's one of the only devotionals that every page of it can be helpful to me.

So I would like to say that if anybody reading this also wants to progress in their walk of faith that this book is a must read! And I would like to say thank you to Oswald Chambers for doing something this amazing!
